Stole is a conceptual scarf made from English Downsland or Marino fleece. Three elements of knit are joined with a binding crochet stitch in a British sheep yarn and lengths of stitch extend to add scale and texture to the piece. Stole can be worn as a collar or wrapped around the neck creating a sculptural adornment.
Swathe

The sculptural qualities of Swathe add consideration to this knitted adornment. Worn as a collar or tied over the chest as a brooch this work encourages the wearer to think of the possibilities in adornment. Knitted in English Downsland or Marino fleece, the edges are bound in a crochet stitch that extends into bands of crochet, inspiring a multitude of ways to wear.
Shroud

Made to commission £220
Shroud combines the tactile luxury of lambswool knit and Guinea Fowl, Pheasant or Wood Pigeon feathers with the sculptural forms of pleats held in place with a knitted ribbon. The resulting stole can be worn as a collar or sit asymmetrically on the shoulder, additionally the ribbons can be used to tie the length at precarious angles over the chest or around the waist.
Sheathe

Sheathe x1 £40, Sheathe x5 £210
The graceful Sheathe comes in two forms; x5 is the most complex consisting of 5 lengths of knit and crochet, combining a multitude of colour and texture. The lengths are joined briefly in the middle and worn long, simply wrapped around the neck once, highlights the fluidity of the viscose and lambswool knits as each movement is echoed with floating strands, a walk becomes a glide of balletic poetry. The piece can also be worn wrapped many times around the shoulders to create a neckpiece of depth in texture and neutral tones and colours. The second variety of Sheathe is x1, this single strand of viscose and lambswool stripe combines all the complexity of movement and texture of x5 in a simpler version.
Shawl

Shawl x 1 £30, Shawl x2 £60, Shawl x3 £90
What is a scarf? Functional or decorative? With Sheathe I have created lengths of knitting that can be worn in a variety of ways that adorn an outfit and create an awareness of movement. Worn long, these flashes of colour float around the body, the individual lengths can be bound or wrapped to create new proportions, drawing new lines, encouraging creativity. Wound around the neck the pieces become decorative, adding colour and a fine knitted base to jewellery. Sheathe comes in three varieties, x1 is a single strand of silky fine knit, x2 is two lengths of varying width, attached in the middle, these also combine two colours, x3 is three lengths of knit in a single striking colour linked together in the middle. The colours include red, pink, lilac, grey and blue.
Envelop

Made to commission £280
These beautifully constructed shawls combine four lengths of fabric; found woven fabrics, layered and stitched together, lambswool and viscose striped knit, hand-tooled kid mohair lace knit and lambswool two colour fairisle knits. The lengths are joined with hand stitched hemming, while the ends are designed to hang at different levels, adding extra complexities to the silhouette. Thrown over the shoulder these lengths are a work of art, wrapped around the neck they build into sculptural cowls adding structure and drama. Comfort is designed to encourage experimentation, and awareness of how adornments effect our mood and positivity.
Nurture

Made to commission £280
There are two varieties of Nurture, Gather and Ruff. Gather combines four lengths of fabric; the knitted pieces are a combination of lambswool rib, lambswool two colour fairisle and lambswool and viscose or silk stripe. Fine gauge crochet, hand stitched hems and layered woven fabrics complete these beautifully constructed lengths. Ruff is a combination of three fabric lengths, excluding the stripe. Both have the addition of cotton tabs stitched onto the back, they are placed in an oval for Gather and a zig-zag along one edge in Ruff. A crochet length is threaded though the loops allowing the edges to be gathered together, creating structure and drama to these otherwise simple shawls. Thrown over the shoulder Nurture hugs the wearer, wrapped around the neck each piece will build into sculptural cowls. Encouraging experimentation in how the pieces are worn and knowing the craftsmanship that goes into every piece adds positivity. Each Nurture is individually created, combining fabric and stitch to produce wearable works of art.
